Red eyelids

Red eyelids, often accompanied by swelling, may have very diverse origins: allergic redness is the most crucial and calls for medical treatments (corticosteroids, anti-inflammatories).

In addition to allergic-type inflammation, the eyelids can occasionally seem to be swollen and irritated as a result of mechanical factors (crying, rubbing, harsh weather) or internal problems (lack of sleep, certain pathologies). This occasional reaction reflects in the same visible signs as an allergic reaction, without the “memory” aspect of true allergies.
